Mr. Williams began practicing yoga in 1993 to improve his physical fitness and mental and spiritual focus for his hobby of rock climbing. Starting with Bikram Yoga (original hot yoga style), he progressed to other styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Classical Hatha Yoga. Mr. Williams obtained his yoga teacher certification in Bali, Indonesia in 2009 under the auspices of the Hatha Yoga Center of Seattle, Washington. After becoming a certified instructor, Mr. Williams continued to explore other styles of yoga including, Power yoga, Yin (or gentle) yoga, Vinyasa flow yoga, yoga for athletes, and other styles. He became a certified Senior Yoga instructor in 2014.
Mr. Williams has extensive experience teaching yoga to persons recovering from injury, substance abuse and also to seniors. Mr. Williams’ goal is continuous improvement of his skills through regular yoga practice and attendance at numerous national and international yoga workshops. He teaches from his studio in North Phoenix and is available to provide one-on-one sessions at the homes of his students.
